Google Acquires Domain Name Adsense.com

You may find this very difficult to believe but the truth is that the search engine giant, Google, has only recently acquired the domain name Adsense.com. The domain name had previously been legitimately owned for many years (even long before Google existed) by a company in Oregon called Adsense Consulting. It is believed that Google must have paid a big price to acquire the domain but no information on this is forthcoming from either party. It is speculated that this recent development may have been triggered by a statement at the bottom of the home page of Adsense.com. The statement read: "If you think you can get rich quick by placing other peoples' ads on your site or blog, please contact Google who has taken and used our business name without permission or compensation."

This amazing bit of news illustrates once again just how easy it is to launch an online business that already quietly exists somewhere else. Yes, this scenerio could still be possible.
