Q: What steps are required to transfer a domain from another host to my new reseller account?
A: The following steps will need to be completed:

First, you will want to setup your Virtual Nameservers. After you have waited 24-48 hours for your new Nameservers to fully propagate the Internet, you can start using your new Nameservers. You will only need to complete this step once.

Second, anytime you sell an account to a friend or client, you will need to be sure that their domain uses your Nameservers (created in the step above). Contact the registrar at which your friend or client originally registered their domain name and ask the registrar to edit the DNS to use your nameservers.

Afterwards, you will need to wait 24-48 hours for the DNS changes to fully propagate the Internet. You are done. You can start utilizing the hosting account for this domain from within your Reseller's Control Panel.

Q: How many IPs come with my reseller account by default?
A: Reseller accounts come with 3 IPs in the IP Pool. One is a shared IP and the other two are dedicated (used for the nameservers). We include the shared IP just as an extra option. Sometimes you may get a client that wants to be set up on a different Class C IP for cross-linking purposes and you could put them on the shared IP at no extra cost.

Q: Can I setup a second set of nameservers? If so, how do I do this?
A: Just register them at the registrar, point them to the same IP address as your existing nameservers and remember to add the new names to the dns table for your main domain.

Q: Do I need a dedicated IP for a SSL certificate?
A: Yes, you need a dedicated IP for a SSL cert.

Q: How do I get another IP address?
A: Contact support and request this. The cost for another IP is $5/mo. Once installed, the IP will be added to your ip-pool. In your Plesk control panel, assign the IP to the account/domain you want.
