What
It Does
CyberCash links a virtual
storefront with a credit card processor, providing
authorizations at the time of purchase. After the sale,
CyberCash provides a full HTML interface for capturing and
settling transactions. This real-time, secure credit card
authentication service is based on digital signatures. They
are able to make it as safe and easy to transact business on
the Internet as it is in the physical world.
Who
It Works With
CyberCash provides broad
connectivity, with connections to over 95% of acquiring
banks through the following processors: First Data
Corporation, Paymentech, Global Payment System, Vital,
Checkfree, Wells, NOVA, NPC and Sligos European.
CyberCash has
partnerships and networks in Canada, Germany, Japan, the
United Kingdom, and the United States. They also maintain
extensive connections to world partners throughout Europe
and in the Asia/Pacific region. Their global partnerships
enable shoppers world-wide to have access to products and
services from merchants in Europe, North America and Asia.
Security
Each CyberCash transaction is
automatically encrypted, to avoid risk to a client and their
customers. CyberCash transactions are encrypted with 768-bit
RSA security for all financial data. This security does not
depend on SSL channels and therefore is not less secure for
international transactions. All credit card information is
also encrypted in the merchant database to protect it from
any post-sale attack. Even information sold and delivered by
the CyberCash system ("payloads") is protected
with 40-bit DES encryption to prevent snooping by those who
did not pay for the goods.
Secure
Transactions
Secure
Server
Transferring information
securely over the internet is the key to the e-commerce
revolution on the web. We enable Website Source Hosting clients to have a
secure server using SSL to allow their clients safe and
secure transaction processing while doing business with
them.
Secure
forms
The purpose of a secure
server is to encrypt the information clients enter in forms
on their browser before it is sent to the server. Website Source Hosting servers use 128 bit encryption, which is the most security
available for civilian purposes. It will keep Website Source Hosting clients'
customer's information as private as technology will allow.
PGP
(Pretty Good Privacy)
This is a
program for encrypting your e-mail. We also provide a
PGPmail script as part of the control panel. Typically, a
secure SL connection is made between the client and the
server using the SSL protocol (https://). The form is
submitted and the encrypted data is sent to Website Source Hosting server and
decrypted. Next, a programmer or the PGPmail program takes
the plain text and encrypts it with your PGP public key and
sends it off to you. So the text is encrypted, sent to the
server, ecrypted and then re-encrypted. This allows for
seure e-mail transmission.

Protected Pages
Website Source Hosting clients can restrict web access to their site or to
individual pages. If Website Source Hosting client wants to have a family
section or perhaps a subscription-only section to their web
site, they can set up certain pages (or whole sections) to
require a username and password from anyone trying to visit
those pages. Clients can manage which pages have which
usernames and passwords using the control panel.
